Isabelle Russell Wakefield, of Griffin, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Isabelle was born on January 30, 1929 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Isabella Russell and William Leeds. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Wakefield, and son, Dale Michael Wakefield, Sr. Isabelle loved to read and travel. One of her favorite hobbies was doing genetic research. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Bitrick and husband, James, son, Norman Bud Wakefield and wife, Kathy, daughter-in-law, Teresa Wakefield; grandchildren, Megan (Joshua) Kinsey, Wendy (John) Rivera, Dale Michael Wakefield, Jr., Mark Ryan (Grayson) Bitrick; brothers, William (Nancy) Leeds, George (Carol) Leeds; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Friday, September 9, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
